Prior to Expo2020, on October 1, 2019 I represented FUNDEFIR at the Global Innovators Summit, in the city of Dubai, UAE, we had the opportunity to take our projects to the next level, creating links between participants and special guests, exploring new ideas, alliances and collaborations to increase social impact around the world.
An unforgettable experience, to be able to share with the rest of the innovators from all over the world, exchange ideas and experiences, making the Bankomunales model known to people of different cultures. On my behalf and everyone at FUNDEFIR, we are very grateful to the entire Expo2020 team, for this opportunity they gave us, and personally, being able to visit this incredible city of Dubai, learn about its history, culture and have participated in the different lectures, I exceed all my expectations. This city is a wonder of humanity.
Working in the world of social innovation brings completely different challenges to traditional companies, the importance of connecting with other people who share this commitment and learning new techniques and global trends, is an invaluable help that allows to extend the impact globally.
My dream is to be able to take the Bankomunales model around the world, for this in recent months we have been designing a new mobile application, web platform, among other technologies, which we will launch early next year, which will allow us to reach more places in Latin America, in a more efficient way, and come 2020, to be able in the great Expo2020, to make our Bankomunales known to the whole world.
More than 2300 applications from 136 countries, 70 were selected from 42 of these.
Included was a walk to the facilities where the great Expo2020 will be, it will contain 3 main pavilions (Sustainability, Mobility & Opportunity) and innumerable buildings for housing, commerce and entertainment. As incredible as it may seem, in less than 2 years the site shown in the video will be one of the most modern and self-sufficient cities in the world with an area of more than 430 hectares.
Over 25 million visitors expected for Expo 2020 Dubai
The Event ended with some inspiring words from His Eminence Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of International Cooperation, U.E.A.
